Wisconsin based sculptor Alisa Toninato built the iconic artwork “Made in America”, a cast iron skillet map of the 48 contiguous states. The local pride others expressed when viewing “Made in America” motivated her to explore a more effective means of sharing her designs.This skillet is meant to evoke the same sense of local pride and community, across all states. The strength of local pride speaks to us all, which is why cast ironis so befitting.The Wisconsin “Cook with Pride” skillet is cast in Minneapolis, MN and designed in Madison, WI.
